Ribbon Types

Thermal Transfer Ribbons

Types of ribbons available:

Wax

Used for general purpose labeling such as: shipping labels, inventory control, product labeling, etc. Good for indoor applications where heavy handling or long-term usage is not applicable. Barcodes may scratch with too much handling.

Wax / Resin

Used for applications where minor resistance is necessary. Different grades provide resistance to scratching, smudging, chemicals, high temperatures, outdoor applications, heavy handling, etc.

Resin

Used in applications where ultimate outdoor, chemical, and scratch resistance is necessary. This ribbon provides the longest life and is used in combination with materials that can do the same.
